Is anybody still working on any fic/art as a result of this mess? I'm just curious, I realize this thing kinda died in the womb. :(

I have half a story that's still writers-blocked to hell but I'm hoping to eventually finish it. Anybody else got anything floating around their hard drive?

Mine are still sitting on the drive and in the brain, waiting to be finished (or started, even). I have another fic that's SC but not the VS that I am writers-blocked on as well...

Haha, maybe instead of doing NaNoWriMo I should just finish fic I haven't yet. T_T Oh, geez.

This kind of thing is exactly why I never bothered with nanowrimo, I can't finish a story to save my life. X[

"Oh, geez" indeed.

Well if you want to swap drafts maybe we can help each other out on a bit of brainstorming, if you're interested. Might as well get something out of this trainwreck of a VS...

I think it'd be more fun to have something like a fic-a-thon or somethin'. I think this got so structured it kind of turned people off.

We did a fic-a-thon, remember? In fact it's technically still open, if you're so inclined.

We could hold another one over in the main comm I guess, if people were interested. There hasn't been that much participation in the first one though, I think only about seven people have written drabbles/stories for it, myself included, though a few peeps wrote more than one, and we didn't get a single art response.

I think the fandom's just too small at this point. The virtual season thing might have worked if there were enough of us to split up the labor, but a lot of people dropped out pretty early on. That and we just never seemed to get any real cohesive direction (that we could all agree on, anyway).

Oh well...

I would repost the link to the fic-a-thon; I think people just forget after a while.

Ahaha, so that's where my fic-going-nowhere is from... a prompt at the fic-a-thon. XD;

I did that too, maybe about a month ago? It's still on the front page, maybe half a dozen posts down. I could post another reminder but I don't want to look pushy.

I've never been big on fic, so ... I guess I was never really a participant.

As for the VS, I'd spent so many years as a fandom of one, suddenly having to share my ball, I felt I was just constantly saying "No, I don't like this" "Do we HAVE to do it like this" "I'd rather we didn't..." without really offering anything... in return. >_> Mea culpa.

Still working on my comic though. u.u

I'm really looking forward to seeing your comic when you finish it, FWIW.

I've been silently following this community for a little while and I just don't want to commit to something that requires cooperative work because I feel like I would disappoint people.

However, I did come up with an idea that I started to write and want to finish. It would end up being kind of long. Basically, it's a prose version of a theoretical third season, but the series ends there instead of being five seasons long. It has "the answers" to everything. It's not canonical in a strict sense but I want it to sound probable.

I have a lot of ideas but I'm not that great at making it sound pretty, so if I ever finish I would like to have some people beta read it.

I'm sure there are folks around who would beta read for you. Depending on what's going on in my life when you wrap up your first draft I might have time myself. Though you might get more takers over in rigelianculture than here, due to the larger number of members.
